I provide 50-minute individual counseling sessions. We can discuss whether you’d benefit from weekly or bi-weekly sessions.
I often recommend committing to regular weekly appointments at the very start of your treatment. This allows us to get a feel, collaboratively, for what you’re needing/expecting with regards to your healing process. For long term, complex trauma issues, weekly sessions are strongly recommended – especially once the trauma reprocessing stage of treatment has begun.
Treatment planning will be a collaborative process, and you will be an integral part of the planning from start to finish. Part of our initial consultation will involve examining what you’re hoping to get from treatment, and how we can best work together in order to reach those goals.
My treatment approach is collaborative and eclectic since each person I see is unique. The treatment modalities that resonate most with me are ones with underpinnings in emotional, neuro-science and attachment theory. I have advanced training and certifications in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My approach focuses on co-creating a strong dynamic relationship with my clients, designed to achieve rapid, meaningful, and long-lasting change that translates into your daily life and relationships.
